No wonder I had repeated some of my struggles for so long.
When confused, I usually did one thing – ask God and others, “why?”.
In my best intention, I tried to figure out the reasons of my failures. I always tried to explain to other my situation down to every meticulous detail. If I found someone who was doing better than me, I probed deep into him and asked many questions to try to find out the keys to his doing better than me. I did the same to the Lord.
The more I spoke, the more I put faith on my problems and circumstances, rather than on the truth of God’s word. Needless to say, I was walking in circles.
I didn’t exercise my authority in Christ enough to rebuke Satan and temptations. I didn’t speak the words of God, which contains creative power, enough to change my circumstance for the better.
Bill Gothard reported that binding Satan before doing ministry make things so much easier; it allows parents to have a much easier time dealing with children. The Satan is behind troubles more than we imagine to be.
Deceptions and Satan are behind addictions. Not only is spoken word crucial in that major area of sinless living, it also open doors to the power of God that enable us to live productively, diligently, healthily, and successfully.
I used to struggle with worldliness and self-discipline. I confessed this sin with others for so long and so many times, but I found even more worldliness and lack of self-discipline. Until recent years I stopped talking so much about it, and had compromised my standard. I still had the problems, but at least I had much less guilt.
Merely stop talking about the problem isn’t enough. I have to talk about God’s promises and declare them out loud, as if the problems are already solved, because the problem of sins had already been solved indeed!!! They were gone. Whatever left are just lies.
Start rebuking these lies in the name of Christ!! And Satan would come and make things feel even worst for you. But it’s temporary if you resist Satan and submit to God. All Satan can do is lie and makes empty threat.
Start saying truthful words and blessing to your career, relationship, academic, finance and everything you care about now!! Things will start to turn if you work God’s word.
