In our thousands years of history, God has prevented atrocities and individual’s tragedy more than we think. He was the author behind every just law, prosperity, peace, freedom, knowledge, and good things.
However, today we see humanists, socialists, atheists, feminists, progressive, and their thugs buddies giving glory to their gods: governments, paramilitary interest groups, intelligence, ideologies, pseudo-science, and other idols, instead of giving glory to God that He deserves.
This is a grave problem.
In the first 16-20 years since I have become a Christian I didn’t understand why glory is so preeminent to God. If humans act that way, we would think they are ego-maniac.
But we have so many problems in the world today because people give glory to the false gods, which won’t solve problems but increase them.
One example is communism. Today there are still people crying for communism and socialism, even though millions of lives have died under communism.
Psalm 66
1 Shout with joy to God, all the earth!2 Sing the glory of his name;
make his praise glorious!3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you.4 All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you,
they sing praise to your name.”
People who give glory to the false gods are exactly the kind of people who stood against blessings such as freedom, prosperity, peace, and human dignity. Then they turn around and accuse God and His people of the exact crime that people of their kind have committed in the past, such as enslaving the black people, slaughtering the Jews, and witch-hunt (many Biblical Christians were slaughtered by the Catholic Church, but today godless people accuse biblical Christians for crimes such as witch hunt and crusades).
Matthew 23:29-32
29“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. 30And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. 32Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers!
