The Lord Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9“This, then, is how you should pray:
” ‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.

We are created to give glory to God through our speech, interaction, thinking, and everything including our breathe.

If we lack daily bread or get harmed by the evil one, there is no glory for our Father.

I want God to be glorified by my life. It makes so much sense to me now. Before, glory to God is such a boring and hollow concept to me.

His kingdom must come, not just because it is prophesied in the Bible that the physical kingdom of God will descend on earth someday, but because we as priests and citizens of the kingdom currently walk on this earth and have the authority to convert what is of earth into part of the kingdom, including: money, people, land, influences, business, education, politics, and every field and faculty on earth.

When I was in uni, the supervisor of our campus Christian fellowship, a renown professor, often preached about this. He wanted to see more Christians students to dominate the education field.
